He married Edith Mary ADAMS August 3, 1878 in St Mary's, Kidderminster, daughter of Richard ADAMS and Selina FORSBROOK. She was born September 7, 1856 in Cookley, Wolverley, Kidderminster.
WILLIAM SHELDON - Born 23rd March 1854, when parents lived at Princes End, Tipton in Dudley. (Birth cert on file). Birth certificate -June quarter 1854 - 6c 211. Address on birth certificate (on file) given as Princes End, Tipton. Mother is Ann Maria (nee NEWTON). Father is David, whose occupation is given as Pudler - the same occupation given on birth certificate of brother David Thomas. According to birth cert of his son Bertie, his gran (Selina Adams, nee Forsbrook) was present at Bertie's birth.
FAMILY
Younger brother of David Thomas. Not known if there were other siblings.
They may have had two more daughters.
OCCUPATION
A forgeman (pudler) like his father according to his marriage certificate. In the 1881 census occupation given as Ball Furnaceman.
MARRIAGE
Married Edith Mary ADAMS in St Mary's Church in Kidderminster on 3rd August 1878. He was 24yrs old on marriage. Witnesses at the wedding were William Hutton and Elizabeth Sheldon (relatationship?)
CHILDREN
At least 8 children including Albert Fosbrook, the father of Murray - my father (Mike Sheldon).
ADDRESSES
Born in Dudley, but married in Kidderminster, so he presumably moved to Kidderminster after his wedding.
Note that there were no Sheldons in Kidderminster in the 1851 census.

Went to Utah and became a Mormon. He appears in the IGI, and our relatives marked as relatives of Frances E Sheldon. He had two or three children, and I have photos but no other details yet.
He is Francis Edward Sheldon in the Mormon Church registers - No: 466K-W5
